Merry Christmas!

Christ's Example of Humility
[1] So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, [2] complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. [3] Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. [4] Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. [5] Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, [6] who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, [7] but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. [8] And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. [9] Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, [10] so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, [11] and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
[Philippians 2:1-11]

This year we all received gifts we enjoyed and loved. It was precious to hear "Whoa!" and "Ooo!" come from Miles and Trenton multiple times per gift. It was also so awesome to see their eyes light up at the first sight of what they were unwrapping. But still, the most meaningful and greatest gift that has been given is the Father sending His Son, Jesus, to the world to redeem us sinners. That is a gift that cannot be beat. I want to make sure that I still have that passion and awe while I praise God for the gift of my salvation!

Fall Fest 2014

The Toy Story boys.  I sure do love these two.

Buzz Lightyear

Sheriff Woody

Every year our church puts on Fall Fest, a way to reach out and connect with the community with a fun alternative to Trick or Treating.  And no worries, the kids still get candy, as there is literally TONS of candy. My boys had their fare share that night and so did I. This momma was happy to get a good sugar rush.

Miles Turns 4

What a year it has been for our sweet Miles. He has grown leaps and bounds in so many areas - speech, height, knowledge and understanding, and his personality is just bursting out of him. He's doing well in school and at church. He get's to be a part of AWANA at our church on Thursday nights, and he is learning and memorizing bible verses! That is such an awesome thing to see him learn about our great God and even store up His Word in his heart of his. We are so thankful to God to be able to see so much growth in his life and we look forward to seeing what is in store this next year!

The Happiest Place on Earth

This was our second time to this crazy magical place called Disneyland. The first time, well, we've seen better days, and plus I didn't understand the hype. This time, Miles was a little older and we had Trenton who is a huge fan of Toy Story along with his big bro. To prepare them for this outing I decided to introduce them a couple weeks ago to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so they could get to know the characters that live in this enchanted land.  They took a liking to it, not as much as I had hoped, but they were starting to like them. I felt a little more confident this time around thinking that the boys might, just might like it. Mike and I on the other hand, well, we were looking forward to seeing their faces light up, because we aren't the type who wear Mickey gear. Let me just allow you to look through the pictures I took while there and let them tell the story for me.

I seriously had no clue what I was doing in this game/ride.

And then this happened. It was at this moment I understood why this place is so cool.

Disney might have made a believer out of me that day. There's something about seeing a kid meet his favorite character in real life. It was a long day, but so worth it. Will we go back? Definitely...Wesley has to meet the crew too!

Anchored Conference | Phoenix, AZ

We spent the weekend in Pheonix, AZ with some of our friends from church at the Anchored Confrence. We had an awesome time and we were able to hear our head pastor Mike Fabarez preach and also be a part of a Q&A panel. Below are just a couple of pictures we took while there.

Trenton at 1 Year

Here he is...large and in charge.  The past year has flown by, and it's been so fun to have him along for the ride. Looking forward to seeing his personality come out more and hopefully see this kid start walking soon. He's going to love all the things he can get into explore!

Trenton at 11 Months

I can't even believe this little chunk is 11 months.  He pulls himself up to stand on his own now.  He loves Ritz crackers, and I mean LOVE...he makes a "num-num-num-num" noise while eating them.  His words are: Momma, Dadda, Hi, Night-night, says "EIEIO" while we sing to him Old McTrenton (I like to customize songs).
Oh yeah, and when he flashes that scrunched-nosed-smile...I melt.

The Golden One

It's finally here!  The day I've been waiting for since I was a little girl 25. When I found out at 20, no one took me seriously (duh), I looked forward to 25 (because, hey, if you are allowed to rent a must be an adult). When 25, rolled around and I still felt like a "kid", I then looked forward to my 30th. My 30th birthday also happens to be my Golden Birthday (the birthday when you turn the same age as your birthdate) that makes it even more special.  I look forward to spending the evening with my church family at Thrive around some of my closest friends.

And since I'm sure I'll always be considered a youngin' to some or an oldie to others...

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech,
in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
[1 Timothy 4:12]

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
[Titus 2:3-5]

Trenton at 10 Months

He finally started crawling, the normal way, this past Monday.  His two front teeth broke on through the past two days as well, which has been rough on me him.  He loves his baby cookies, apple-sweet potato food, and baby mum mums, okay, he just likes food in general.

5 Years & Loving It

It's been 5 years of wedded bliss for Mike and I!  I love this man.  Really, I couldn't have chosen or even imagined a better leader for myself and our family.

We decided to spend our anniversary down in San Diego, a little getaway with the whole family.  I forgot to take pictures and document our time in pictures, but sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment in real like and not through the screen of an iPhone.

I did capture these shots at the zoo though...enjoy.

Sorry, I wanted to include all the shots of Miles on the turtle because I love his expression in each shot.
